Rebecca Crowe founded The Speech Therapy Centre in 2003 and has over 23 years of experience supporting children and adults with speech, language, communication, voice and swallowing difficulties. As Founder, Clinical Director and Adult Clinical Lead, Rebecca is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care that is tailored to the individual.
Rebecca’s specialist clinical interests are adult neurological rehabilitation and dysphagia (eating, drinking and swallowing disorders). She has extensive experience working with adults following stroke, brain injury and progressive neurological conditions, helping individuals maximise their communication, safety and independence.
What’s your favourite thing about working at The Speech Therapy Centre?
For me, it’s the people. I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built—everyone genuinely cares about our clients and shares the same values of providing an outstanding service. I love that we’re always looking for new ideas and better ways to support the people who trust us with their care.
What’s your favourite thing about working with clients?
The relationships I build with clients and their families are what make this job so special. Seeing someone achieve goals they once thought were out of reach, and knowing we’ve made a real difference to their everyday life, is the most rewarding part of what I do. I also feel privileged to be able to support our local community through the work we provide.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my three children. I love singing, getting outdoors for long walks and making the most of family time whenever I can.

Beth Chapman
Speech and Language Therapist
Beth is a Speech and Language Therapist who works with both children and adults with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. She is passionate about providing person-centred therapy that helps individuals and families build confidence and achieve meaningful communication goals.
Beth has experience supporting children with speech sound disorders, developmental language disorder, autism, social communication differences and dysfluency, as well as adults with acquired communication difficulties following neurological conditions. She enjoys working collaboratively with clients, families and professionals to create therapy that is engaging, practical and tailored to each person’s individual needs.
What’s your favourite thing about working at The Speech Therapy Centre?
I really enjoy the variety that comes with working at The Speech Therapy Centre. Having the opportunity to support clients of different ages and with a range of communication needs means I’m constantly learning and developing as a therapist, while helping people achieve goals that are meaningful to them.
What’s your favourite thing about working with clients?
My favourite part of working with clients is getting to know them and building strong relationships with them and their families. Every client is unique, and I enjoy finding creative, personalised ways to support them in achieving goals that are meaningful to their everyday lives. Watching their confidence grow and celebrating their progress together is what makes being a Speech and Language Therapist so rewarding.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling and exploring new places. I’m a big foodie, so I love cooking and trying new restaurants and cafés. I also enjoy unwinding with a good film, whether that’s a trip to the cinema or a movie night at home.

Claudia Jordan
Speech and Language Therapist
Claudia is a Speech and Language Therapist working with a paediatric caseload, supporting children with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. She works with children experiencing speech sound difficulties, language difficulties, stammering, and children with autistic traits or a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She is passionate about providing high-quality and evidence-based therapy that is tailored to each child’s individual strengths, needs and goals. Claudia strives to create a positive and supportive environment where every child feels encouraged to develop their communication skills and confidence.
What’s your favourite thing about working at The Speech Therapy Centre?
My favourite thing about working at The Speech Therapy Centre is being part of such a supportive and dedicated team. Everyone genuinely cares about providing the best possible care for our clients, we are always sharing ideas, learning from one another and looking for new ways to improve the service we offer. It’s inspiring to work alongside colleagues who share the same passion for high-quality care.
What’s your favourite thing about working with clients?
I love getting to know each child and their family, and building strong relationships based on trust. Every child is unique, and it’s incredibly rewarding to support them on their individual journey. Watching children achieve their communication goals, grow in confidence and let their personalities shine through is the most fulfilling part of my job. I also value being able to support the whole family, ensuring everyone feels listened to and empowered throughout the therapy process.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and going on days out with my friends. I love taking my dog on long walks and I enjoy travelling to new places whenever I can.

Hannah Thomas
Speech and Language Therapist
Hannah is an Adult Speech and Language Therapist with experience supporting adults with a wide range of communication and swallowing needs. She has valuable experience with individuals following strokes, acquired brain injuries and those living with progressive neurological conditions. Hannah has developed a broad range of skills across dysphagia, communication and dysfluency caseloads, with a person-centred approach focused on maintaining individuals’ independence and participation in activities that are important to them.
What’s your favourite thing about working at The Speech Therapy Centre?
My favourite thing about working at The Speech Therapy Centre is being part of such a supportive team, where there is always someone to learn from and turn to for support. I also value having the time to build genuine relationships with my clients and provide meaningful, personalised sessions without feeling rushed.
What’s your favourite thing about working with clients?
My favourite thing about working with clients is taking the time to get to know each person and building trusting relationships. I love watching clients gain confidence, achieve their goals and make changes that have a meaningful impact on their everyday lives! I love taking the time to understand what matters most to each client I work with, as it makes the therapy experience much more rewarding both for my clients and myself!
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends whether thats outside on walks or inside watching a movie. I love to read books and bake, and enjoy keeping active by running!

Jackie Taylor
Education Consultant
Jackie is our Education Consultant with extensive experience in Early Years education as an Advanced Skills Teacher. Jackie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to The Speech Therapy Centre. She has a particular passion for learning through the outdoor classroom and supporting children to reach their full potential through engaging, inclusive teaching approaches.
Jackie works closely with our clinical team, providing educational expertise and helping to strengthen the support we offer to children, families and schools. She has previously led research into boys’ achievement and engagement in education, and is passionate about developing innovative strategies that improve learning, participation and outcomes for all children.
What’s your favourite thing about working at The Speech Therapy Centre?
Without a doubt, it’s the team. We all share the same goal of making a positive difference to the lives of our clients and their families, and it’s inspiring to work alongside people who are so committed, caring and passionate about what they do.
What’s your favourite thing about working with clients?
I love building relationships with children and their families and working in partnership to help them achieve their goals. Seeing a child grow in confidence, develop new skills and celebrate milestones together is what makes my job so rewarding.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether that’s gardening or going for long walks. I also love travelling and exploring new places whenever I have the opportunity. It’s a great way to relax, recharge and spend quality time with family and friends.

Zara Kipping
Administration Assistant
Zara is the friendly face behind much of the day-to-day administration at The Speech Therapy Centre, helping to ensure every client receives a smooth and welcoming experience from their first enquiry through to ongoing appointments. She supports the team with administration, client communication and practice coordination, always striving to provide a professional and efficient service.

My favourite thing about working at The Speech Therapy Centre is the people. We’re a close-knit team who all share the same passion for helping others, and it’s a genuinely supportive and enjoyable place to work.
What’s your favourite thing about working with clients?
I love hearing about the progress our clients make throughout their therapy journey. Whether it’s a small milestone or a major achievement, it’s wonderful to see their confidence grow and know that our team has played a part in making a positive difference.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I also love baking and going on days out to explore new places and experience new things.

Olivia Taylor
Finance Officer
Olivia is the Finance Officer at The Speech Therapy Centre, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the practice and helping to ensure our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with the leadership team, she plays an important role in maintaining the strong foundations that allow us to deliver exceptional care to our clients.
With a meticulous approach and excellent attention to detail, Olivia is responsible for supporting financial administration, maintaining accurate records and contributing to the effective management of the practice. Her professionalism, reliability and commitment help ensure The Speech Therapy Centre continues to provide a high-quality service for the children, adults, families and organisations we support.
What’s your favourite thing about working at The Speech Therapy Centre?
Meeting a wide variety of people and being part of such a supportive, welcoming team. Everyone works together to provide the best possible service, creating a positive and enjoyable working environment.
What’s your favourite thing about working with clients?
Although I work behind the scenes in finance, I enjoy knowing that my role helps the team deliver excellent care. It’s rewarding to support our clients by ensuring everything runs smoothly and making their experience with The Speech Therapy Centre as straightforward and welcoming as possible.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I enjoy music and am currently learning to play the guitar. I also enjoy spending time being creative with arts and crafts, which is a great way for me to relax.
