About Us
The Speech Therapy Centre offers a range of independent speech and language therapy services aimed at adults and children.
Established in 2003 by independent Speech and Language Therapist, Rebecca Crowe, the Centre has grown in recent years and now covers adult and paediatric client groups across North West England.
Our experienced team of speech and language therapists are all certified with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP) and the Health Professions Council (HPC).
We have specialist skills in all areas of communication, feeding and swallowing, including:
- Acquired Disorders (e.g. stroke, brain injury)
- Progressive Disorders (Parkinsons, Motor Neurone Disease)
- Dysfluency (stammering)
- Dysphagia (feeding and swallowing)
- Speech delay / disorder
- Language delay / disorder
- Congenital Disorders (Downs Syndrome, Semantic Pragmatic Disorder)
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder
- Voice
- Self-esteem and confidence
- Paediatric and Adult Elocution is also available
The Speech Therapy Centre offers assessment, therapy and review sessions, as well as training. Our services are easily accessible with home and school visits available at flexible times to fit in with your other commitments.
We always operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team with any relevant professional parties involved in a client’s care or well-being. Similarly, we will work closely with your family, friends and carers to provide you and them with all the information and practical support you need to successfully address your communication difficulties.
